MSC Club Champion Award in a new guise
03.02.2013
Not as usual in the context of an evening of winter fun, but during a brunch in the clubhouse on Sunday, February 3, 2013, the MSC honored its champions of the past season. It was not only the calendar, which as always is full to bursting with celebrations and events, that prompted the MSC board to choose this new form at the beginning of the year, but also the intention to try something new. After all, the number of participants in winter entertainment has declined slightly but steadily in recent years. The new form was well received and so almost 50 members came to the clubhouse to enjoy the delicious breakfast and lunch buffet prepared by the club hosts. It was also nice that, in contrast to the evening event of earlier years, the youngest MSCers were also able to join in.
In the context of the master honouring club boss Siemon and treasurer Sonsalla could welcome then nearly all masters of the last season in the club restaurant and present master T-Shirts, cash prices and coupons (junior tourism). An overview of all champions, including a picture, can be found in our separate section “Club Champion”.
The MSC Weser-Solling Fürstenhagen mourns for two of its long-standing members
01.02.2013
Concerned and deeply saddened, the members and board of the MSC had to bid farewell to two of their most loyal members in January.
Karl “Kalle” Schmidt from Adelebsen died on 10 January 2013. Kalle was a member of the MSC Weser-Solling for over 50 years. At the peak of motocross in Fürstenhagen, Kalle was one of the people in Erbsen who prepared the cross machines for the MSC active members. Most recently, Kalle Schmidt received the MSC Weser-Solling pin of honour at the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the club’s founding in February 2011.
Paul Metzner from Uslar followed him on 29 January 2013. Paul would have been in the MSC for 50 years in May, he was also the bearer of the MSC Badge of Honour. Unfortunately he did not live to see this beautiful anniversary. Paul was – from 1971 to 1984 – sports director of the MSC for 14 years. Until his serious illness, Paul and his wife were among the most eager hikers in the club and stood at the legendary potato pan at every night trial.
The board and members of the MSC Weser-Solling Fürstenhagen will always honour the deceased. We will miss you.
Annual General Meeting 2013 – Special honour for Martin Sonsalla
05.01.2013
On 5 January, 42 MSC members and one guest met for the annual general meeting in the clubhouse, the country inn Zur Linde in Fürstenhagen. The greeting and New Year’s wishes of the 1st Chairman – Dietrich Siemon – were followed by a minute’s silence for Hans-Jürgen Meier – former, long-standing member of the MSC Weser-Solling – and Joachim Will, from the MSC Melsungen. Will was closely associated with the MSC Weser-Solling through his tireless commitment to the trial cycling sport and, as the initiator of the Hessencup, was certainly jointly responsible for the fact that the MSC in Fürstenhagen today again regularly organizes and hosts trial cycling events.
A very special honour followed: Martin Sonsalla was honoured for 25 years in the office of the treasurer with the bronze pin of honour of the ADAC NSA. This makes Sonsalla the first MSCer ever to receive this honour from the umbrella organisation.

Treasurer Martin Sonsalla (far left) was presented with the bronze pin of honour of the ADAC Niedersachsen Sachsen-Anhalt for 25 years in the office of the treasurer by his colleagues on the board – Renate Drüke-Becker, Dieter Engelhardt and Dietrich Siemon.
After this honouring the minutes of the last monthly meeting, the birthdays November to December, as well as the entries and exits of the past year were read out. Three resignations were compared to two admissions in 2012. Two further admissions at the New Year’s Eve party in the MSC clubhouse ensured that the number of members rose by one member compared to the previous year.
Next, the members of the club board reported on the past year – the highlights, but also some current problems within the club. The first and second chairmen appealed to the members to be present for the tasks to be accomplished in 2013. With repair work on the pig pasture, the renovation of the club hut and of course with the night trial and the run to the Hessencup bike trial, a lot of work awaits the club, which the club can only cope with if everyone gets involved. The 25th report of the treasurer, as well as the reports of the secretary and the sports director completed the reports of the main board. In the course of the remarks by sports director Uli Wallrafe, the active MSC athletes traditionally had the opportunity to report on their past season. Finally, of course, the divisional managers for the bike trials (Thomas Schulze) and the press (Markus Kehler) also had their say. There was nothing to report for the club’s court of arbitration. After the cash auditors found the cash register to be properly managed, the meeting discharged the still acting board.
The elections followed. According to the MSC statutes, the board group 1, i.e. the second chairperson, secretary and sports director, had to be elected for two years, as well as all divisional directors who are only elected for one year. Dieter Engelhardt (2nd chairman), Renate Drüke-Becker (secretary) and Uli Wallrafe (sports director) were confirmed in their offices. Also in office for another year – press officer Markus Kehler. And also unchanged, the cash auditors. Frank Krummacker (Göttingen) and Stefan Leibecke (Adelebsen) will also keep an eye on the MSC finances in 2013. On the other hand, there has been a change in the bike trial division. Here Nils Kunkel from Offenensen follows Thomas Schulze (Heisebeck), who did not run for office again. Another change in the arbitration panel. Here Gerhard Fraas (Lödingsen) replaces Paul Metzner, who can no longer hold the office for health reasons. In addition, Udo Schminke (Heisebeck) will succeed Dieter Engelhardt, who is now a member of the executive board. Unchanged in the arbitration court – Sabine Sonsalla from Dransfeld. The office of the tourism administrator could not be filled again.

At the end of the meeting, all those present were given the opportunity to speak. Among various other topics, the board pointed out the unplanned problems with the 2013 schedule. Exactly to the planned MSC tent meeting at the Nürburgring, both the F1 and one week later the Truck-GP will be guesting in the Eifel! And also the night trial date is unexpectedly in question. On August 3/4, there will be a DM run in Frammersbach and on August 10, a European Championship trial in Norway. At 10:40 pm Dietrich Siemon closed the annual general meeting and the team of the country inn Ackerhans could serve the obligatory fried meatballs.
No luck with the weather at the biker event “Safe through the Harz” on 5 May in Osterode!
05.05.2012

At the Biker Day on 5 May in Osterode the weather god did not mean well. Not with the bikers, but also not with the organizers, who had organized the event for the start of the campaign “Safe through the Harz” in advance perfectly and with a lot of effort. And of course MSCer Torsten Schumann could not show what he actually wanted to show due to the continuous rain. So many people were literally rained out by the provided car. At the first and only attempt Torsten came to crash. Fortunately nothing happened. For safety reasons, the MSC officials – club boss Dietrich Siemon and his representative Dieter Engelhardt were on site themselves – and the MSC’s best Ü40 trialer subsequently gave trial demonstrations over the pallet obstacles set up. But even there, the MSC Weser-Solling left such a good impression that the organizers have already requested our participation for 2013. Then the kick-off event will move on and will probably take place in the Westernstadt in Hasselfelde – in the middle of the Harz Mountains.
Further information about the campaign can be found on the website of the German Road Safety Association (Deutsche Verkehrswacht):

Change at the head of the association – annual general meeting 2012
07.01.2012

As already in the previous year also in this year – on Saturday, 7 January – again over 50 members met for the annual general meeting in the Fürstenhagener club restaurant. At the top of the agenda – as usual – the honours. In addition to the obligatory birthday wishes, 3 members who had achieved 25 years of membership in the MSC in the past year could be honoured again in 2012. Conny Pape (Wahlsburg-Lippoldsberg), Petra Quentin
(Wahlsburg-Vernawahlshausen) and Sabine Sonne (Oberweser-Heisebeck). All three had joined the MSC Weser-Solling Fürstenhagen in April 1986. Chairman Andreas Hoffmeister held the laudation, congratulated and thanked the 3 ladies for their loyalty to the club. Petra Quentin and Sabine Sonne he could hand over the MSC-standard anniversary beer mug with engraving directly to them. Conny Pape, on the other hand, was unfortunately not able to attend the meeting himself. Her husband Uwe accepted congratulations and gift on her behalf.
The honors were followed by the reports of the board members about the past year, which this time were of course marked by the various events in the anniversary year – the MSC Weser-Solling celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011. Once again, the festive celebration in February, the Motoball game in July and the International Night Trial and the Hessencup Bicycle Trial in August were remembered. There was much praise and thanks everywhere, both for the various organizing teams and for the members who had actively contributed to the success of the events and thus to a great club anniversary. After report of the cash auditors with following, unanimous discharge of the executive committee the elections of the executive committee stood on the program. It was clear that there would be a change at the top. Andreas Hoffmeister (Oberweser-Heisebeck) had already announced his withdrawal from the association’s board two years earlier. So it was obvious that the previous 2nd chairman Dietrich Siemon (Wahlsburg-Lippoldsberg) would rise to become club chairman. As 2nd chairman Dieter Engelhardt (Fürstenhagen) was newly elected to the managing board. Martin Sonsalla (Dransfeld), treasurer, was confirmed in office for the 23rd time – and thus by far the longest serving member of the board in the history of the MSC. Sonsalla is thus going into his 24th year in a row (!) as guardian of the MSC finances and is thus heading straight for a very special anniversary at the MSC Weser-Solling. With the secretary Renate Drüke-Becker (Oberweser-Arenborn) and the sports director Ulrich Wallrafe (Göttingen), who was already elected for 2 years in 2011, the main board was complete again. Afterwards, the divisional director of the bike trial -Thomas Schulze (Oberweser-Heisebeck), press officer Markus Kehler (Fürstenhagen), the auditors Frank Krummacker (Göttingen) and Stefan Leibecke (Fürstenhagen) as well as Sabine Sonsalla (Dransfeld) and Paul Metzner (Uslar) were re-elected for another year. Gerhard Fraas (Adelebsen-Lödingsen) took over Dieter Engelhardt’s place in the arbitration court, which had become vacant due to his election to the board. The re-election of the ADAC delegates Volker Meyer (Fürstenhagen) and Gerhard Fraas (Adelebsen-Lödingsen) with their representatives Edelgard Engelhardt (Fürstenhagen) and Martin Sonsalla (Dransfeld) completed the MSC management team for 2012. By the way, all elections were unanimous and in two cases with one abstention each. The positions of the Tourist Information Officer and the Assistant Sports Director could not be filled. From the latter, A. Hoffmeister Jochen Dörner, who will leave Göttingen for professional reasons. Dörner held this office for 10 years in a row. As a token of his gratitude, Hoffmeister sent him a dedicated edition of the MSC Sonder-INFO, which was published on the occasion of the 50th anniversary.

Following the elections, the new chairman – Dietrich Siemon – thanked his predecessor for a total of 18 years of board work in the MSC and presented the outgoing “Präsi” with a farewell gift from the association. Under TOP “Miscellaneous” first some New Year’s greetings were sent to the meeting, a few questions from the meeting were answered and finally the next, upcoming dates were pointed out. Relatively early, namely shortly after 22:00 o’clock the obligatory fried meatballs could be served by the team of the MSC club hosts!
Motoball game in Heisebeck for the 50th anniversary of MSC Weser-Solling thrills over 400 spectators
03.07.2011
Uslar, 3 July 2011 – The Weser-Solling Uslar -Fürstenhagen motor sports club continued its 50th anniversary celebrations with a fast-paced football match on motorcycles, thus commemorating the club’s founding event. The preparations for the match between the Sauerland Bundesliga club MBC Kierspe and the Dutch team of MBC Dordrecht took a good two years. The first event of our club was a motoball match in May 1961, which we commemorated with the anniversary match, said Andreas Hoffmeister, First Chairman of the ADAC club MSC Weser -Solling.

Motoball at the time around 1960
We have presented the fastest team sport in the world with the Motoball game. On August 6th, the balance artists on the trial motorcycle will come to the traditional night trial and show breathtaking acrobatics. There is no better way to show the diversity of our sport than with Motoball and Trial, Hoffmeister continues. Around 400 spectators watched the match last weekend, which was organized by a 50-strong team from MSC Weser-Solling on a 60 x 100 meter area next to the sports field of the neighboring town of Oberweser-Heisebeck. With changing weather conditions, the grass pitch became a special challenge for the two teams, each consisting of four drivers and a goalkeeper, because Bundesliga matches are usually played on hard or synthetic surfaces. After 4 x 20 minutes, the Sauerland team won 7:4 with fast sprints and daring drifts. Both the spectators and the two teams immediately and loudly demanded a replay, Andreas Hoffmeister was pleased to say, who at the same time thanked the many helpers. The owner of the property and the local residents did a great job. TSV Heisebeck and the volunteer fire brigades of Heisebeck and Fürstenhagen also actively supported the event, Hoffmeister continued.
Now we are fully concentrating on the night trial in Fürstenhagen in a good four weeks, said Dietrich Siemon, second chairman and head of the night trial. The preparations are already in full swing. With top riders from five nations and two brand new sections, the Trial will be the highlight of our anniversary year, Siemon concluded. The events for the 50th anniversary of the MSC Weser-Solling will end on 28.08. with a bike trial in Fürstenhagen.
50th anniversary of the MSC a complete success!
12.02.2011
On Saturday 12 February, the MSC celebrated its birthday in the hall of the clubhouse with about 180 guests and members. At the end there was praise from all sides for the all-round successful event. After the 1st chairman, Andreas Hoffmeister, together with his board and the festivities committee had welcomed all guests and members, the club chronicle “MSC Weser-Solling Fürstenhagen 1961 – 2011” was presented. Denise Gerling and Wiebke Sonsalla handled this in a sovereign manner. Their presentation was accompanied by pictures from the different epochs and on the individual topics, which Martin Kreutz had compiled and prepared.
Afterwards, the invited guests had the opportunity to offer their congratulations and greetings. Then two of the young up-and-coming trial riders of the MSC Weser-Solling made their personal contribution. Jonas Schulze and Manfred Sustrate offered a very special trial show with their bikes. The two bicycle ballet danced to the music of the Blues Brothers and jumped – mostly only on one bike – around Hessen Cup organizer “Timmy “Fraas, who they had chosen as a “victim” and integrated into the show. At the end there was the well-deserved applause from the guests.

The honouring of the jubilarians followed. For 25 years of membership in the MSC Weser-Solling, Dagmar Schlieper should have been honoured with the club’s usual beer mug. Unfortunately, Dagmar could not attend the celebration for personal reasons. But all other jubilarians were present. And so first Paul Metzner, Günter and Helmuth Meyer, Hinrich Rothe, Walter Ohrmann, Karl Schmidt and Horst Henze could be honored with the specially for the anniversary newly created needle of honor of the MSC Weser-Solling for 40 years of club loyalty. The three founding members – Arnold Kubiza, Karl Meyer and Günter Schlieper Senior – were also presented with the new pin of honour. As a special gift our still living founders of the association received pocket watches with engraved dedication.

A further innovation in the MSC – the award of deserved club members. Thus for 10 or more years of work in the main executive committee of the club also the following MSCer received a honorary pin: Thomas Klepsch (15 years sport director, 1. and 2. chairman), Gerhard Fraas (10 years sport director, 1. and 2. chairman), Martin Sonsalla, (in the 23. year treasurer!), Hans-Jürgen Gruber (14 years sport director), Edelgard Engelhardt (10 years secretary) and Andreas Hoffmeister (10 years 2. and 1. chairman).
At the end of the awards, Club Chairman Hoffmeister thanked all helpers who contributed to the success of the evening. Special thanks were given to the members of the festivities committee – Nicole Elias, Sabine Sonne, Dieter Engelhardt and Martin Kreutz, for their great work and to Tanja Saloga, who had taken care of the decoration of the festival hall. The entertaining, three-hour programme was rounded off with a reference to the other anniversary events – Motoball Game on 2 July, Night Trial on 6 August and Bicycle Trial Hessencup on 28 August.
Before the party could really get going, there was a delicious soup for everyone, which was contributed by our club hosts. Partying and dancing went on until the early morning hours. Many of our guests took the opportunity during the course of the evening to view the compiled exhibition on 50 years of MSC history and the presentations of our former and current active members. The festivities and party were a successful start to the anniversary year. We are looking forward to more…

New Secretary at the MSC – Report from the 2011 Annual General Meeting
08.01.2011
On Saturday 8 January 2011 over 50(!) members met for the JHV in the clubhouse in Fürstenhagen. First the present members of the board reported about the past year. In addition to the cash report and various club activities, which in 2010 also included a bicycle trial event (a run for the Hessencup) at the MSC facility “Schweinweide” in Fürstenhagen, the focus was naturally – as usual – on the active MSCers and their successes. Outstanding: Thorsten Schuman (Göttingen) became Lower Saxony’s champion in the third class of the motorcycle trials, Manfred Sustrate (Fürstenhagen) started in the German Youth Trials Championship for the first time and achieved very respectable results. At some runs he missed the podium only by a very small margin. In cycling trial, on the other hand, Jonas Schulze (Heisebeck) can be celebrated both as North German and as Hessian runner-up.
In off-road sport Ulrich Wallrafe (Göttingen) proved his versatility by competing at various events, sometimes as a crosser, sometimes as an enduro rider and sometimes in the SuperMoto class. Besides the Fischereihafen race in Bremerhaven (SuperMoto), the famous Erzbergrodeo in Austria was certainly the personal highlight of the season. After all, he reached the famous “Hare Scramble” there, the final of the best 500 on the second day. At the run on the “Eisenberg” he finally managed a placement in the lower 200 third.
The MSC CoPilot Rally Team, Uwe Henne (Langgöns) and Frank Krummacker (Göttingen) experienced 2010 with light and shadow. Thus, after each of the great rallies in Norwegian freezing cold (Numedals Rally) and on beautiful Swedish gravel (South Swedish Rally), retirements due to going off the road followed shortly before the end. In another 1-day rally in southern Sweden, which was added to the programme at short notice, the FIESTA ST was rolled onto the roof in slow motion, but thanks to the help of spectators, it was possible to continue and finish the rally in the standings.
The reports were followed by the unanimous discharge of the board and then the elections. After ten years of very active and successful board work, Edelgard Engelhardt (Fürstenhagen) retired – at her own request – from the office of secretary. It follows for the next 2 years Renate Drüke Becker (Arenborn), which could be won completely again for the MSC executive committee. There was another change in the trial division. Uwe Thies (Fürstenhagen) took over the office of the division manager as assistant Thomas Schulze (Heisebeck), whose area of responsibility will be limited to bike trials. All board offices were elected unanimously.

Gerhard Fraas (Lödingsen) will again be responsible for organizing a bicycle trial in Fürstenhagen in the MSC’s anniversary year. With the run to the Hessencup on 28 August, the series of events on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the club will be brought to a perfect conclusion. Under the heading “Miscellaneous”, the board of directors called on all those present to play an active role in the preparation and implementation of the events surrounding the club’s anniversary. Whether at the festive celebration (February 12th in the club restaurant), at the Motoball friendly match (July 2nd in Heisebeck), at the anniversary night trial (August 6th, Schweineweide Fürstenhagen) or at the bicycle trial Hessencup on August 28th on the Schweineweide – every hand is needed! Unexpectedly early, at 22:10 o’clock the obligatory meatball could be ordered from the club landlords.
The new MSC Weser-Solling board for 2011:

Club champion award ceremony in the paddock of the 80s
21.02.2009
Paddock of the 80s was the motto of this year’s MSC winter fun on 21 February in the clubhouse in Fürstenhagen. Busy hands had equipped the Ackerhans family hall with (almost) everything you can find on a race track. The screwdriver tent including motorcycle, tool box and camping seat group was missing as well as racing tyres, advertising posters, a waste oil bin or even an old SUZUKI engine on the workbench. The welcome of the guests by the 1st chairman – Andreas Hoffmeister – was followed by a delicious buffet, which the team of the Ackerhans family as always was in line with the motto of the evening.
Afterwards, club manager Hoffmeister and treasurer Martin Sonsalla honoured the Club Champions of the year 2008. The best in each of the categories automobile, motorcycle (road and off-road), helpers, tourism and junior tourism received the coveted Club Champion T-shirts. In addition, there were the usual cash prizes for champions and placed. Also license costs and entry fees could be refunded to the athletes for the past season.
The club board was particularly pleased that for the first time in the club’s history, club champions in the trial sport category could also be crowned. In the meantime 10 MSCers have their own trial machines and so the first MSC Trial Club Championship could be held on 3 October 2008 at the Schweineweide in Fürstenhagen. The championships were determined in the classes bike trial, motorcycle trial beginners and motorcycle trial experts. Instead of cash prizes, which only a few of the young riders would have been able to enjoy, the MSC board decided to provide the entire trial group with their own club sweatshirts. These were then also handed over to the active participants during the championship ceremony. And also for the two youngest participants of the club championship – the “Schnelle Zicken” (Fast Chicks) Celina Schminke and Lena Sonsalla, who had to master a slalom course with the Piwi, there were specially made T-shirts

Until early in the morning they talked shop about motorsport and celebrated. The young gentlemen of the club had special fun with the old SUZUKI motorcycle engine. Under the expert guidance and strict supervision of ex-chairman and former motorcycle wrench Thomas Klepsch, the engine was dismantled and reassembled again and again by the MSC youngsters. First without, later also with piston rings. And had it not been for the bus ride to the Hallentrial of the MSC Brake in Bielefeld the next day – who knows! Presumably the boys would have mastered the task at some point even blindfolded. So it does not always have to be the Playstation…
New MSC Clubhouse
01.01.2009
The last activities in the new clubhouse: shelves were purchased for the vehicle hall. Now our material can be stored there reasonably! And there are also developments in the meeting room. The long awaited office cabinet has arrived! One of our members took advantage of a clean-up campaign in his company and dusted off an old filing cabinet. The good piece was then dusted once again in Fürstenhagen. During a short, determined work assignment, the cabinet was really spruced up and can now – to the special delight of our secretary – take up the MSC files.
First Trial Club Championship of the MSC Weser-Solling in Fürstenhagen
04.10.2008
Although the MSC in Fürstenhagen can already look back on a long trial sport tradition, there was a novelty in the almost 48-year history of the club on 4 October 2008. For the first time a club championship in trial was held on the club’s premises – the pig pasture in Fürstenhagen. 14 participants started in 2 motorcycle and one bicycle classes. Furthermore two of our young ladies drove out an extra Piwi-Cup. Head of the team Dietrich Siemon (Lippoldsberg) had marked out tracks of different levels of difficulty in 6 sections, so that all MSC young riders – juniors and seniors alike – found tests corresponding to their abilities.
In the end, however, experience won out over the “young savages”. So the “experts” were won by Kai Schlieper (today Alzenau), who had already ridden a bike trial in Fürstenhagen in the seventies before his motorsport career took him to the circuit. Kai’s successes there are well known. In the end, his brother Dirk Schlieper (Gieselwerder) – also a former bike trial rider – and MSC youngster “Mini-Manni” Manfred Sustrate (Fürstenhagen) had to admit defeat. Just past the podium, the senior of this classification group “Jogi” Jürgen Gümther from Dransfeld triumphed. Rüdiger Sonne (Heisebeck), a late starter from the group “Ü Fifty”, was also in the lead in the “beginners” category. However, it was much tighter here and Sonne won with only one penalty point less in front of Lucas Schminke (Heisebeck). Felix Günther (Dransfeld) and Frederic Sonne (Heisebeck) followed in the other places. Lucas and Frederic belong to the MSC offspring, Felix Günther meanwhile shares the enthusiasm and hobby of his father Jürgen. At the bike trial the “young gentlemen” were then among themselves. Here Jonas Schulze (Heisebeck) won, ahead of Lucas Schminke, who started both with the bike and the motorbike, and Jannes Thies (Fürstenhagen). Also two of our “Schnelle Zicken” (fast chicks) – the women’s team of last year’s Bobby-Car race in Heisebeck – wanted to compete and so a slalom course was set for the Piwi. Celina Schminke (Heisebeck) and Lena Sonsalla (Dransfeld) finally took 1st place – in harmony, as it should be for friends.
Champions and placed will be honored – together with all other club champions – at the winter entertainment event 2009. In the end, everyone agreed – the first Trial Club Championship of the MSC Weser-Solling was a complete success and will certainly become a permanent fixture in the club calendar.
1st Heisebeck Bobby-Car Race
01.01.2008
With 3 teams or 9 individual starters among the kiddies, plus 3 “adult children”, the MSC started at the 1st Heisebeck Bobby-Car race – organized by Kyffhäuser Kam. Heisebeck – on Saturday, June 2. Lucas Schminke (13), who was the only youngster in the class of the tuned bobby-cars, was a great success and took a great 2nd place in the adult class! In the class Bobbycar “Original” – Kids C (10-13 years) MSC-Kids took the places 2 to 5 as well as 7, 8 and 11 and 12. In the team ranking (same class) the team “Nachttrial Racing” took the 2nd place, the “Schnellen Zicken” (!) the 3rd place and “MSC Bobbycar” the 4th place! All individual results can be found at www.bobby-car-rennen-heisebeck.de. Congratulations to all our starters and a big “thank you” to all the MSC members who helped to make this event a great thing!
First victories of the MSC junior trial riders
01.01.2008
At a round of the Trial Nordcup in Embsen near Lüneburg, at the beginning of April, MSC youngster Manfred Sustrate (Fürstenhagen) could achieve his first victory. The 13-year-old was very concentrated throughout the entire event and in the end, for the first time in his still young career, was able to climb to the top of the podium. The second MSC Junior at the start was Frederic Sonne (Heisebeck). The 11-year-old also showed a great performance, but narrowly missed the podium as fourth in his class. Equal on points with the third, “Fredi” – due to the lower number of 0-fault sections – was left in the end only the famously thankless 4th place of 10 starters.
Two weeks later, in Bielefeld, Frederic finally had his breakthrough too. With his 80cc GasGas he delivered a performance and finished with only one penalty point on place 1 in his class. He was followed by Lucas Schminke (Heisebeck), another MSC youngster on the podium. Lucas (12 years old) came with his 125cc Sherco at the end on 7 penalty points and reached – at his first event – a great 3rd place. His success of Embsen was finally confirmed by Manfred Sustrate in Bielefeld. Once again very concentrated on the road, he took his second victory home clearly.
We congratulate our youngsters and wish them all the best for their still young careers, nice successes and – most of all – always an accident-free ride!
Club hut Schweineweide
01.01.2008
Many busy hands have ensured on the Ascension weekend that our club hut will continue to offer us the usual dry shelter for the next few years. The old roof made of Ondoline plates had served its time. Now a beautiful new aluminium roof adorns the good old MSC hut!
